Anyone help got a 50cc Peugeot speedfighter got new cdi and it will not start and the immobilizer ( Anti theft warning light ) is still flashing on had to disconnect the battery so it dont drain it . need to try get it running asap for work Basically the Anti theft warning light is just flashing had new cdi spark-plug and piston head the cdi is not standed its the link below this has been done to try bypass http://readlee.wikispaces.com/Peugeot+speedfight+-+bypass+faulty+immobiliser P.S this is 100% my bike have all the paper work and keys but i dont have the red ignition mater-key
Do you have a way to test the spark , to visually see it, something like this tester ?? Though it can be a bit tricky, this can also be achieved by creating a gap between the plug lead and a grounded surface of the engine or frame with a screwdriver so you can see the arc of the spark from the plug lead to the grounded surface, it sounds to me without knowing anything of those bikes, that your anti theft is killing the spark and is either partially grounded out or running constantly, either of which would drain the battery
not tried this yet but that was going to be the next thing we try mate forgot to bring his spark plug ratchet and yes it seems like its killing the spark to the bike
yeah sounds like it, hopefully you can get it sorted, one other thing to keep in mind is that all electronic ignition modules require a minimum of about 11Volts to fire properly, your battery could be just low enough , or have a cell going bad to where you may still get the motor to kick over with the starter but the battery then does not have the nutz left to allow the ignition to work properly, so may want to have your battery amp load tested to see if it drops well below that 11volt mark, then chances are that is your culprit
K cool, since you have a meter, if possible (I know batterys can be packed in weird places) hook it to the battery and crank the engine, watch to see it drop, if it goes below 11volts for more than a split second when the starter is cranking (loading battery) it still could be a bad cell in the battery, and not feeding enough to fire the ign module ,,but this just being something you can easily rule out that sometimes gets overlooked on EL Ign engines A battery can show proper voltage, but puke it's guts when put under amp load
Stupid question but did check the fuse next to the battery also try to start it power and kick start at the same time
