As though Rockstar`s latest smash hit hasn`t had enough bad press already, with somene being mugged in London for his copy of GTA V, and a publicity stunt that went wrong. Now its been revealed that 3 men dressed as police officers tried to blag a copy of GTA V early and almost pulled off the perfect heist too, but in true GTA V style it all went wrong at the last minute! The N.Y.P.D have reported that whilst most Grand Theft Auto fans in Stanton Island qued up in the mall to get their hands on the massive GTA V, a few men decided they were above the law and would skip the line if they were dressed as officers of the law. Two of the 3 men had connections with the law, one of them is an auxiliary member of the NYPD, while another is a retired officer's son. The men brought an old police car at an auction the night before the Monday midnight release. The police car also had the lights and siren still installed. This sounds just like one of Trevor`s schemes now doesnt it ? The three men now suited and booted in Cop uniforms hit the blues and twos and arrived at Gamestop along with the hundreds of people patiently waiting for their turn to get GTA V. Our trio flashed police badges one of which was fake, while the auxiliary officer used his own NYPD badge and the son of the retiree had his father's shield tattooed on his arm. The mall security officer gave the trio coffee and Gamestop manager even thanked the guys for turning up to help with security. The trio purchased 3 copies of GTA V and left the building ahead of the massive que. The perfect heist ! Or not.... Upon leaving the guys jumped back into their police car and made an illegal u-turn in front of a real, undercover police officer in an unmarked police car. They were apprehended and charged with second-degree criminal impersonation. Now tell me that doesnt sound familiar?
Amazing... lmao.. Had the game since release, still haven't had a chance to have a good session on it ...
