I'm also getting the error. Everything is up to date, Windows 7 SP1, And Framework 4.5. Tried to run as admin, and under xp compatibility, no luck. Put dll files into the folder with the tool, still nothing.. Please post when you figure out the problem. Thanks

Edit: I got it to work, put the dll's to folder where the program is and then run it as admin worked for me great Thanks for this editor )

make sure you either have winRar or another program alike
also when all the DII. and the program is in the folder
right click run as admin, should work fine mate.

Not working for me either. Did those steps, still gives me the generic 'the program has encountered a problem and needs to close.' error. I'm using Windows XP.

 

don't think it's compatible with Win XP mate.

 

Well, that's a shame, all of computers at my house run XP. Oh well.

 

To those getting the exception error...

Chances are, you've extracted the content file from the save file, and are trying to open that instead the full save file itself. At least, that's what I was doing to get that particular error. Once I just extracted the full save file from the USB stick and loaded that instead, it worked like a charm.
