NVIDIA has officially announced New SHIELD Android TV Console at CES 2017. It brings support for 4K HDR content directly from Amazon, Netflix and Google Assistant. The new SHIELD also comes with upgraded SHIELD Controller for better gaming experience. The 16GB variant has been priced at USD 199, and the higher 500GB variant will set you back at USD 299. Both new SHIELD Android TV Console versions are up for pre-order from Amazon USA. Moreover, you can grab it in Canada and select European countries as well. The new NVIDIA SHIELD Android TV can stream Movies, TV Shows and games in beautiful 4K HDR from apps like Netflix, YouTube, HBO, Showtime, Pandora, Spotify, Sling TV, PlayStation Vue, Kodi, and more. Users can play AAA PC games with GeForce NOW, which can be stream from your PC using GeForce rig to the living room with GameStream. Users can even command 100+ apps like Netflix, YouTube, HULU, HBO and more with a single voice command. Under the hood, it is powered by NVIDIA® Tegra® X1 processor with a 256-core GPU and 3 GB of RAM. On the connectivity side, it offers 802.11ac 2×2 MIMO 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1/BLE, Captive Portal support, Gigabit Ethernet, HDMI 2.0b with HDCP 2.2 and CEC support, Two USB 3.0 (Type A).
