Destiny--the upcoming shared-world shooter from Halo creator Bungie--is meant to be shared, the developer said on its website. As such, the studio will not stop you at all from sharing coverage of the beta through Twitch or elsewhere when it goes live this summer. In fact, Bungie said it so celebrates sharing that it will even take steps to highlight what some fans are doing.

"We will do far more than allow you to share your glorious war stories from the frontier," Bungie community manager David Dague said as part of the latest Bungie Weekly Update. "We'll amplify your voices, if they are brave. Some of you will even be selected to play a role in our stories, as we go to war with (and against) our community in the wild for the first time. That will be as glorious a moment for us as it will be for you. Watch this space http://www.twitch.tv/bungie We have plans within plans within plans."

"Destiny, after all, is a thing to be shared," he added. The Destiny beta begins this summer on all platforms, though it will be available first on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. Bungie is treating the beta like a full product launch in some ways.

Also during the Bungie Weekly Update, one fan asked if the final build of the Xbox One and PS4 versions of Destiny will "look as clean and smooth" as the trailers and screenshots released so far. In response, Dague teased, "What you have seen is not even our final form."

Destiny publisher Activision Publishing has high hopes for Destiny, saying last month that the game is expected to be the "best-selling new video game IP in history."

The game is also expected to become Activision Publishing's third billion-dollar franchise, following Call of Duty and Skylanders.
