Listings for a Mass Effect Trilogy on PS4 and Xbox One have surfaced on a Chilean retail website. The listings do not specify a release date or price, and while no official announcement has been made Bioware has discussed the possibility of a reissue in the past. "We have discussed that internally," a Bioware rep said on Twitter recently, in response to requests for a next-gen upgrade. "If we can put solid plans together we'll share." Bioware and publisher EA released a Mass Effect Trilogy for PS3 and Xbox 360 in late 2012. The package contained all DLC and marked the first time the original Mass Effect was available on Sony's console. Several last-gen games have been released or confirmed for PS4 and Xbox One: Square Enix released Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition in February, Ubisoft released Rayman Legends for next-gen consoles in March, while Sony has confirmed it will reissue The Last of Us for PS4 in June. Mass Effect 4 is currently in development at Bioware Montreal. Series protagonist Shepard will not feature in the new installment, the studio has confirmed. In December, BioWare Edmonton and Montreal general manager Aaryn Flynn said Mass Effect 4 is in a playable state, describing it as "Ambitious, beautiful, fresh but recognizable. and fun."
