Support Youtube Question

Is it alright to start a thread for a giveaway by asking for YouTube subs or is that considered advertising?
If it is alright what would be the appropriate sub forum, the Youtube section or in the Competitions & Contests section.

I imagine that the competition section mate,tho whats the subs for ? For eg i hold a monthly competition the entrance fee is the entrant needs to share a xpg topic of their choice via social media

 

Its for my sons channel, the subs are the entry into the give away. Like once he gets 50 I'll pick a random winner for a $20 gift card.

 

Im sure you cant do that one mate as its classed as advertising
