I let my friend license transfer my account about a month ago so he could get some of the games that I own... As of now, they work perfectly fine for him, but I recently bought and downloaded Far Cry 3 and when he downloads it and tries to play it, he gets a message saying: "Can't launch Far Cry 3". Anybody know why that is? Could it be because he license transferred my account before I downloaded Far Cry 3?
Make Him Sign Into Your Profile, Launch The Game, Then Tell Him To Sign Back Into His Own Account, That Should Get Rid Of The Error Message. It Works For Me
He did it, but it didn't work. He got message saying: "You must be on the profile that purchased the game". or something along those lines.
In order for him to play any game you have downloaded he has to wait for a License Transfer to open up then get it.
I didn't even know that was a thing... Well, when he downloaded Far Cry 3 there was something under the Far Cry 3 section that took up 8mb of space that he couldn't delete... I assumed that was an update, but even when he clears his cache, it's still there.
Has anyone tried with Dark Souls 2? I have the same question. I haven't tried it yet but I want to make sure it'll work.
you will have to re do the licence transfer when it is available again .. technically far cry 3 wont count as you purchased it after you gave him the licence transfer! Hope this helps
I mean i guess you can get it to work! but as the others said he will need to be signed in to your account when he plays it .. to play it with out being signed in to your account you will need to re do the licence transfer.
