Quick question - COD Ghost

Do I need xbox live to install the new Cod Ghost DLC? I'm thinking about buying the season pass right now. And if I do need xbox live how do I connect to it?

You need xbox live. I think you need gold to use the season pass because you have to connect to multiplayer to access the in-game store.

 

So the season pass doesn't come with a gold subscription?

 

Would it be fine if I just made a free 3 month gold account .,

I'm only in it for the ripper and to use it on system link., not gonna play xbox live at all

 

Just find yourself a 48-hour pass every time a new map comes out so that you can download the maps. You only need Gold to access the in-game store so that you can get the DLC without paying extra because of your season pass, but you don't need Gold to play the DLC.

 

But I want the new gun "Ripper" which comes with the devastation DLC

 

If you have the season pass, you already have the gun.

 

I don't have it yet but I'm trying to see if it's safe to buy it right now., you said I needed xbox gold

You don't need gold to buy the pass, however you need gold to access MP and the in-game store to get your DLC for no extra charge. You don't need gold to play the DLC on Split-Screen/System Link. That better?

Yes, and the simplest way to do that is to just get a 48-hour pass and download the maps. That way you don't have to actually buy gold.

You can do the Monster Hunter glitch or if you can't do that, I'd imagine a member here wouldn't mind giving you one.
