Headset problem

I have a white original wired headset, and when people talk it shows me i am talking?
this just recently started happening.. so anyone know what could cause this?

 

Sounds like you have a echo. Ask people if you're echoing.

 

They said yes.

 

This is usually caused by a poor connection from your headset to controller. Try cleaning off the plug that goes into the controller. If that doesn't work, the port on the controller might have a problem so you could try cleaning that, but the ports sometimes just get old so use a different controller if you have one.
