Family settings override

Bought a Xbox off eBay family settings still installed got no idea how to get rid off them the guy doesn't know what the combination. Please if someone knows how to get around this I would be very great full.

 

google it there is a specific way to do. Some type of button sequence you have to use. Google or whatever search engine you use will help.

1. On the 360 dashboard, scroll over to the "System" tab.
2. On the System tab, click "Console Settings".
3. Scroll down in console settings and click "System Info".
4. When the system info box comes up type in this sequence:
LT RT X Y LB RB Y "Left Stick in" (press it in) Y Y
A box should come up and say, "Would you like to reset the console to the factory defaults?"
Click Reset and you're done!

Unfortunately this didn't work for me :S all it did was exit me off system info

 

make sure you input the buttons in correctly.

 

If someone could just close this topic thank you for your help Caboose but it didn't work. Im just going to ask Microsoft directly now

 

Yeah that was the old way, you have to call MS now to get the reset code.

 

Actually a code was used to unlock it, it is different for every console and mine was LT RT X Y LB RB DOWN UP UP X

Its going to be a different combination per Xbox 360 and not a universal one like in the past. You have to call MS and give them your consoles information and it generates your consoles button press/directional code for you to reset your console.
