Confirmed working. Did it for a few minutes to test. Maxed out two weapons.​

Also if you have the contract for killing 10 Hulkers, here's a fast/easy way to get it.​

Do you mean story progress or location?
I'm not sure when the mission becomes available.
I completed the story before I started doing side missions.

Hulkers can be found randomly in game around Marin. i kinda did the same thing when i found one, but not as a mission or side mission. I saw a Hulker fighting some hellbugs and just killed the Hulker... drove away .... then back again and he respawned in same spot.

 

I need to get in on this. Im slowly getting hooked on Defiance...
