Is wire controller of xbox 360 can save me money？

Hey everyone I was wondering since I want get Wired controller now. Save me little money and time so i was wondering if I can plug usb things in back of Xbox 360 S model instead of front??

i find the wireles better cos i have rechargable batteries so depends but a wireless controler saves alot of money buying play and charge kits and stuff and id say keep using the front usb ports make life easy but is upto u
