About the shoutbox

This is a really good site. The only thing that i do not like is how everytime a new member joins, or someone makes a reply & or post, it is shouted in the shoutbox.

It honesly makes the shoutbox full of spam.

Please take this into mind

 

Its a automated bot so there's nothing that can be done

 

I am sure there is a way to disable it in the admin cp

 

Its a Auto bot mate

There most likely is, but it greets the people, so that the admins/mods can see if anyone has an inappropriate name.

 

it also shows when people start spaming things in the forums

 

To sum up everything said. It's for staff so it's not going anywhere.

 

new member in shoutbox sorta helps us see if spam members joining and the shoutbox extender gets the forums more active

The autobot is fine and knowone has seemed to complain in the past

 

its very helpful having all new topic's and who's posted in them pop up in the shout box its like that for a reason also is new members joining. Idiots with stupid names we get hold of them quick and ban them. And trust me there's been quite a few lately, most of us spend all our time with the shout box open and this make using this site so much easier. So I think its one of these, "if you don't like it, don't use it"
You know what I mean mate. The way it is serves a purpose mate and it won't change. And frankly I wouldn't want it to change. It informs everyone of everything real time

 

Only thing does do my head in is I have to keep pressing "I'm Back" when I haven't been anywhere :LOL:

 

Like everyone said, it's an autobot.
Founders only are supposed to change the autobot founctions/visulas/etc.
And DelBoy is right, it's helpful so you know what's going on without refreshing all the time.
