As the title says dual nand slim 250 GB HDD. It has xex menu on it already. Just wondering if anybody can tell me which is better to have for it. FSD or XeX Menu only. First Dual Nand I have gotten. So not quite sure. Thanks in advance.

Hmm, good to know. I have always had both on with no issue but if it has potential for conflict then I will remove xex menu. Thanks for the info.

I was just stating that, I saw the word might, but someone took it to heart, and I just wanted you guys to know.

It's all good. I am always learning myself, so when I saw it "might" cause a conflict I figured since I rarely use xex menu why keep it anyways. Thanks for clearing things up ;)

have both on u will not get any problems they both r usefull fsd3 been more but deffo have both.also try use a external hard drive for as much stuff as u can for the rgh nand or 2 seprate xbox hd because if u use 1 hd for both nands ie live nand/rgh nand there is a chance of a ban as all your rgh stuff shows up on the live nand as corrupt data cheers wayne

Should I have it boot directly into FSD or XeX Menu?

You should also be aware that when using the internal 250Gb HDD even if you install games to the right path (i.e. Content\00000000) on the RGH nand, the Live nand will not see them. It will also report your overall HDD space back incorrectly. So if you install 150Gb of games on the RGH nand, leaving 100Gb space left, on the Live nand the xbox would still think it has the full 250Gb unused.

Dual nands do have their uses of course, if it's your only xbox console for example then it's a great bridging of 2 worlds, retail and homebrew. But ultimately to my mind, if you already own an existing retail console, then I feel it is better to get a normal RGH/JTAG console for off Live use.

My first hacked xbox I bought is a Dual Nand, and I have slightly regretted it, I made the mistake of buying it with features I thought I needed rather than features I actually use. I don't use the retail side of it at all.

have both. xex menu is good for loading games, copying, burning, and can be booted from nxe and is a load easier. fsd has everything its own dash / link / menus and stuff, its your preference but i'd be putting both onto it.
