(16202) Creating A New Freeboot Image Without Hardware

    I'm not sure of the ETA of Dash Launch 3.05 just yet. I'll def keep an eye out for it though, since i'm OCD about keeping my console up to date. :LOL:

    Hi, this is a very useful post, thank you.
    i am new to JTAG. I did all the aboves, the next thing i found is that my xbox loaded the original 16197 interface and not the previous Free Styler 2.2
    I then got no choice but to re-flash my console to 14XXX

    Please advise.

    p.s.My console was bough from a game shop and it is a slim console with build in 20Gb HDD for software installation. My console is RGB and trinity board.

    That's normal when installing a new kernel. So, that should be of no concern bud.

    The reason behind this, is because Dash Launch is the program that allows us to boot a different dashboard (such as Freestyle Dash) to boot by default. When creating a new kernel image, Dash Launch isn't installed automatically unless you included Dash Launch patches with your build.

    At the moment, The latest Dash Launch (3.04) doesn't support 16202 just yet. We have to wait for the Dash Launch team to patch Dash Launch for use with 16202. Should be coming shortly.

    I was just about to suggest for you to downgrade to 16197 and just wait for Dash Launch.

    Building an image is the same as building it for 16202. Just select 16197 instead. Then run the 16197 official update for avatar and Kinect files. Do NOT run the 16202 system update on the 16197 kernel!

    Update to the newest J-Runner. That one is either having connection issues, or it's the older one that they disconnected from the server. Give me a sec, and i'll find you the newest. ;)

    :LOL: I remember using just XeBuild back in the day. J-Runner is just faster. Then again, i do RGH installs, so speed is of the essence :LOL: Glad you got it man. ;)

    Thanks for the tutorial man, it really helped out. I ended up having to use XeBuild because it says bandwidth exceded on the jrunner site and wouldn't load the dash updates in the program (probably from holidays and it should fix tomorrow). Anyways, thanks and i even got the avatar update to work! ;)

    Hmm. About the bandwidth issue, i think they may be switching servers. It was working fine for me about 3 hours ago. Now it's not. I just loaded it up to make sure. :LOL:

    Hi everyone,
    I have a problem: I have a RGH Jasper dash 16202 and i couldn't connect Kinect to it so I did everything Stanton said in his tutorial and security update message appear so i accept and reboot the console ... but now just my Avatar is OK and kinect still doesn't work!!! each time that i turn on my console this message appear:

    I don't dare to accept it because I'm afraid to screw everything up and blow my XBOX. I read that if I update my RGH XBOX wrong I have to throw it to trashcan and buy another one!
    Please help me.
