Doom 2 ( Doom BFG Edition ) Save Editor

Team XPG presents..
Yet Another save editor this time around for Doom 2 also part of the Doom 3 BFG edition disc but this should work with the XBLA version as well.​

NOTE:
Now when I was working with doom 1 things were a lot eaiser this time around the saves are actually dynamically adjusted so the positions change every time.

I'm sure what you've seen most people do in this situation is make you find your current ammo health, or etc in order for them to find the offset to edit.

Well I'm not most people so I used my very own pattern finding technique to locate the area of the data I'm looking for.

If I had an JTAG or an RGH I wold've just reversed the entire save set and broken everything down but I don't right now so this is what I was stuck with.

Anyway because of the pattern finding technique and the way it works sometimes if you check off chainsaw you may get a weapon you weren't expecting.

I didn't see this as too much of an issue because I know 99% of the people using this will simply check them all of anyways.

Well with that said lets get on with the show...

Options
This will allow you to edit your current ammo, and allow you to have any weapon you want among other things I also realized in the first doom if you were to set your ammo higher then the max ammo and pickup ammo then you'd go back down to the max.

So I've also added Max ammo editing into this one.

Well I just figured I'd do the doom series because I've always been interested in the doom games since I was a kid and playing with the engine was always pretty fun .

Among other things I haven't done health, or armor, or keys or etc yet because these saves are very dynamic and complex the only way I would actually go about doing those kinds of options would be if I had runtime analysis to work with ( Debugging Via Dev Kernel ).

So hope you enjoy what there is in this one so far, and hope you enjoy playing the game even more now that you can start with what ever weapons you want and never run out of ammo .

Yeah, when I finish up with the rest of the games I'm working on I'll probably come back to this and doom 1 to do invicibilty, and a few other things like keys, and Fecal Leaking... there's a few different pickups I forgot about in doom.
