when modding a save lets say skyrim 1 achievement is it best to do it off line or on line ? as i no if the achievement is online only u have to do it on line but what about the off line stuff?
With all achievements make sure they unlock in the correct order. Online needs time stamp(duh). Offline it doesn't matter as long as it's in the correct order(well most games have an order). Sorry, may have read it wrong If you are using a downloaded save or modding one(say level or rank), it's always best to try it offline first. As some will pop achievements even if not stated. You don't want the achievement for completing the Dark Brotherhood quest to pop online before you have the one for joining them(as an example)
hi thanks i am only after 2 achievement in a game for doing it on the hardest dif and normal i no they stack and they can be done off line !. what did u mean by when u said time stamp for online. does that mean when i unlock it the achievement gets time stamped if i do it on line do i do anything different when sorry to ask just getting to grips with this?
If you look at your achievements, some will have a date/timestamp on them. This happens when you unlock an achievement online. Online may say something like 10/20/2012 up in the right corner. Ones unlocked offline will not have this. When I first read your post, I thought you was asking about actually modding your achievements(unlocking them). If you did that to an online only achievement(like one for online multiplayer) you must put the correct date/timestamp on it.

No place for that there. I was speaking of when using a mod tool for modding gamerscore/unlocking achievements.
i am on about using some one else's save on here changing the 3 id's over to match mine then plugging my usb stick back in and loading the game up and play a little and pop the achievement pops up will this way be fine online as i no off line is ok ?thanks for your time dude sorry to ask so much just want to not mess it up thats all
Yes it's fine to do that. As long as the ones you are gonna pop now do so in the correct order(I get what your doing now, just stating for future references).
