my xbox wont read disc

May need to look up how to clean the lens reader. Be careful

 

Mine had that. I just bought a new xbox instead.

 

I think you can but it's very risky.

 

you will need the key off the xbox drive to be able to put a new drive in

 

Make sure u r under warranty first. Also most common thing is there is dust build up on the lens.

 

if you plan on swapping out the DVD Drives, make sure you get the right replacement, some have a Toshiba/Samsung other's have a Phillips Lite-on and others have HItachi

If you have opened the xbox already and broken the seal,your warranty is gone so u cant send it to xbox
a lens replacement or dvd drive isnt expensive but then again it depends if u have the right tools,Ned to extract that key and spoof onto new drive

 

let us know what the gameshop does to fix the problem. I have the same problem.

 

I have had this many many time on repairs
Sometimes you can get away with a lens replacement (Remember if you buy a new lens u need to have the anti staticsolder ball removed)

then sometimes even with a new lens the drive still dont want to work
i would say open it up see what drive it is (most likey a benq or liteon) and buy a new drive off ebay
U will then need to get the key off your old drive and put that to your new one
then away you go for another few years

 

your laser could be jammed m8 can ya hear clicking noises when ya put a disc in?

 

u will need a xbox 360 usb pro and a ck3 and a molex power supply and jungleflasher software and if your drive is a lite on u will need a probe to probe the pcb board to read the key

 

You can use XBOX360 USB pro and use the probe to extract the key. Alot of ppl use this when flashing XBoxes. If you dont want to buy one then I suggest getting someone to do it for you or the person that flashed your xbox if he still has your key saved.

 

I had that error open tray.... I sent to repair it is but I it never was repaired
