Get update then says Disk Unreadable?

I start up Transformers I get a 3MB update then it lets me play for about 5 mins, then all of a sudden kicks me to dashboard saying disk unreadable? The disk is in mint condition. I have tried playing again and still says disk unreadable any help?

could it be because im writing on x4 speed? and not x2.4 speed?

 

the same thing happened to me awhile back, forgot what game .. what discs you use? and you should always use 2.4x
