im thinking about flashing my "Slim Gears Of War 3 Limited Edition" but i can't find anything on what drive it is or if it can be flashed. i did find some pics & i think it's a liteon but thats all i know. is there a way to find out everything i need to know about if it can be flashed without opening the xbox. i looked at this but pics dont load How to Determine your Xbox360 dvd drive type. i typed my MFR Date (7-11-2011) in here 360drives but nothing showed. i do not want to open this if it can't be flashed

i reckon its gonna be a liteon m8 being a gears console how are you thinking about flashing it replacement board or kamikaze hack ??? if kamikaze be sure that youve got your key backed up just incase ..
damn. guess i need to read more cause i have no ideal what a replacement board or kamikaze hack is. lol. i seen vids where you put your CK3 PROBE 3 or SPUTNIK360 PROBE (not sure which it was) to your drive. do a few things then flash
If you remove the face plate and look under the Xbox 360 Logo on the DVD drives Front Bezel you will see an oval shaped hole look inside and you will see 1 of 4 things White Wires = BenQ Yellow Wires = LiteOn Red And Black Wires = Samsung No Wires/Black Plate = Hitachi Hope this helps
ok. remember this is a "Slim Gears Of War 3 Limited Edition" & from some pics i seen of drives it looks like a liteon. not sure what type of liteon it is. the reason i think its a liteon is because it has no holes or cuts/grooves in it. like i said i really dont want to open it just to find out it cant be flashed but it seems im gonna have to so i can find find out for sure
hello m8 ive got a liteon slim that ive extacted key from firmware revision is 0272 model is liteon dg 16d4s jungleflasher reads it as slimkey extract but i havent got around to flashing it yet i bought it as a failed kamikaze hack but luckily ive got the key just need to raise the money for a replacement v 1.1 board hope this helps a bit ..
you can definetly flash it m8 just read the key and buy an unlocked pcb board if youre not gonna try drilling or soldering ironing the chip .
it is almost guranteed to be a lite-on since most of those special edition boxes are. also it is probably the 1175 version which i still don't believe can be dumped or flashed but i could be wrong. haven't looked into it for some time.

the last time i remember reading anything they said they had managed to dump the key but then needed to decrypt the dump i guess but that was a long time ago and i haven't heard anything new about it since then.
