need help making a probe ..

    mornin all todays my day off so time to start my 1st ever soldering project basically i wanna flash a liteon ive read all of the tuts regarding the actual flash and that wont be a problem but i wanna make my own probe ive been and bought all of the nesscary bits for the the job ie. npn transitors etc and it all seems pretty straightforward but one thing puzzles me and i have googled for a solution but cant find an answer ill be using a ck3 lite to power the drive it came with an rs232 adapter can it be used for a homemade probe ?? and if so how do i assemble it to be used with a homemade probe cheers for any help ..

    I just made my own probe sometime ago.

    here is an image on how to do it.

    I powered the drive with my own Xbox.

    Very nice probe. But it's still not good to power your drive with your xbox while flashing. Grab you a PC power supply or a molex power supply online.

    not true i made a cable the same as this yesterday and i was able to flash my lite on works perfect
