Dear everybody, After sinking hundreds of hours into Gears Of War 3 my account has been reset by the known glitch from playing split screen, I am now back to nothing. I had unlocked all of the achievements available as of now and with the "Forces Of Nature" DLC coming soon I would like to revert my stats back to what they were (all onyx medals, ribbons, and level 300+) so I can actually enjoy the game again and gain the new achievements without another outrageous grind over several months. I tried every trick I have come across to regain my former glory with no results. I have contacted Microsoft in regards to my situation and there is "nothing they can do" for me since it's been reset. So far the only realistic option I've come across is spending money on Diamond (Horizon mod tool) and I could edit my stats back up near what they were before. Obviously any options where I mod my account could result in a ban, so I am asking if there is any other options before I spend my money and run that risk. So is there any hope for me?
Have you contacted epic games? I know its a stretch but I would go strait to the the source and maybe they can see your stats serverside and reup you?
Hi. One of my friend got reset a few days ago and he wasn't even playing splitscreen. We were playing and we decided to take a break. A few hours later, he started gow3 and he was back to level 1 (he was 88 green legit). We tried everything even recovering profile the next day and still, it didn't work. The thing is to recover profile right away because once you launch gow3 (and if you connected to XBL) it syncs you stats and rank with the online gow3 servers. Now there are 2 things that you can still try: 1) Delete all you GOW3 saves offline then go online. start gow3 and and see if you stats are back. 2) After deleting all your gow3 saves, recover your profile (might take a few hours). I myself have a backup on the cloud storage, I don't know what I would do if i were to lose my rank (50 red after 480h). If you're a legit player, I wouldn't use Horizon as they have over 200+ ways to detect it and then you'll get ban. Best of luck to you.
Sorry to hear that OP! It happened to me but luckily I salvaged some of my progress! Here's what you do: 1) Clear cache 2) Recover Gamertag 3) Connect to XBL and update game 4) Play 1 game online multiplayer (as the servers contain your data! If you play a game offline it will overwrite your data) and some of your progress should return! Thanks guys but I tried the account recovery trick and it didn't work. I also tried playing a game online and that didn't work. I searched every Xbox/Gears related forum for similar tricks but nothing anyone suggested has worked. I've seen many other people with the same problem and they get no help from Epic or Microsoft either, so I was really hoping for an alternative.
