You just extract the archive and put it on your usb stick or hdd. Inside fsd you just run the default.xex file and it will install itself.
What xbox version do you have. If it's corona, there are a xebuild v2 patch on this board that you also have to use. It has a readme file so everything is very clear in it.

Maybe this will sort things out for you as I personally don't have a corona board.

Yes I think so, as I said, I don't have the new slim lines but that must be the corona board.

    First of all,

What are you currently having on your xbox.
i.o.w. Do you run FSD or just the normal xbox dash. Which system update do you have. Which dashlaunch do you currently have.
Do you have a RGH or JTAG or RGH2?

    Lets go from there.

And do you run Freestyle dash or just the normal xbox dash? Do you have xexmenu for a file manager?

Ok, but then it would be very easy to install dashlaunch. Make sure you extract the archive (obviously :D) I usually make a directory either on my external hdd or on my internal hdd, I like to use internal for more complex programs like fsd and dashlaunch.

copy the files from your usb stick to the directory you created on you hdd. Inside that directory is another directory named "Installer"
Go to that directory and run the program from there.

If you do not know how, inside fsd there are a file manager that you can use to do all file related stuff. I usually use xexmenu if I want to copy large files, but for dashlaunch the fsd file manager would do nicely.

If you ran the file inside the installer directory, dashlaunch would tell you that you have an older version installed and if you want to update it. Select yes and that's it. Just go over your settings when it gives you the page, and don't go overboard with anything. Just basically check that xbox live is blocked, but not live strong settings. Also check the setting for XAM updates is blocked. Then press right bumber and save your config to your harddrive. Reboot your box and see what happens.

If it gives you a brick again, then we need to talked to other members on this forum that has a trinity. Maybe they can help, but this is how I ALWAYS update my dashlaunch without any problems.

O mannn,,!! Does your console boot into xell? (When the console is off press the eject button).

I have read a few forums, and it looks to me like that it is a bug in dashlaunch using the trinity boards.
Someone correct me if i'm wrong.

What version of dashlaunch did you use before you tried to update?

Do you have a copy of your original nand dump? Why I'm asking is that I see there might be a bug to update your dashlaunch to the new version. Dashlaunch readme suggests that you flash a clean nand image to your box.
Obviously you need to create a hacked nand image. I like using AutoGG. It's very user friendly and it has been updated to dash 16587 or something like that, the newest dash update for the original dash.

    Managed to fix it myself.

I ignored dashlaunch like sugguested with begals tutorial and did it the manual way to update my dash to the latest kernal.

Once that was done i re installed fsd and updated to dashlauch. It all works.

    Gta V is go :)
