Okay so my plan for COD WaW kind of flopped (won't talk about it here as its sort of embarrassing in its stupidity) Now I am digging out one of my old xbox's to flash the drive. The best one of the lot has a bum drive that doesn't read discs. If I get the dvd key off of it (its a ben-q) can I put the key on another drive (other than Ben-q) and have it work in the xbox?

Well I talked with a guy a while back who said as long as you replaced the DVD key and the bin file and put them on a new drive it would work. Although if not I can just dig out another xbox.

You can't spoof drives anymore it needs to be BenQ to BenQ.

Something along those lines. Anyways I have 5 or 6 360 consoles that have been set aside for one reason or another I have a feeling I can Frankenstein a console together and while I have the drive opened in jungle flasher might as well flash it.

Without meaning to double post I just wanted to update that I stripped the xbox down (painting the case black with the disc tray bar where it says xbox 360 and the eject button satin nickel) and noticed the reason the drive was iffy was that one of the ribbon cables was loose.
