I'm not really looking to mod any of the games in the list you have, but I AM looking to mod Tony Hawk Project 8. Hoping some of the same principles will still apply. For example, interested in modding jump height... I'm not really sure what makes 1 iso moddable and another not, but I know that modding saves for THP8 are difficult because the saves are compressed (or so I've been told). Not sure if this is an indication that it's not ISO moddable or what... So if I were to begin looking for jump height in the THP8 ISO, where would I start?

TIA

Hey Mate
I have never even looked at that game but if you can upgrade your character in the actual game then there is a good chance that there are modifiers for this that you may be able to find and change the values for. But like I said I have no real idea so don't waste too many discs if you're not making real progress. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful

Well, luckily I use Xkey so I can play directly from an ISO on a hard drive, so no disks wasted! :). That being said, where do I begin? Any tips on what to look for? -d

Ok you mentioned that TH files are likely in Pak Xen format which can be extracted with QueenBee. I mentioned that I can extract save files with horizon (and extract specific user saves within the save package). What I understood to be the problem is that these are compressed or encrypted saves so you can't easily search in-game values. Does queen bee decompress or decrypt the save? Guessing not since you said a hex editor still wouldn't be enough.... This is the same brick wall ive run into since i started looking into modding this game about a year ago...

But, is the potential to ISO mod there? I've only recently discovered this method (thx to these forums). I have new hope!
