I wasn't sure what this would fall under but I did use to have a program on my computer for this, after buying a new one however I lost it. I have a 1080p, MP4 file that is about 2GB in size... I want to burn this to a Dual Layer and keep all the quality (or the best I can keep). Are there any programs or ways people know of?

I think you know what I meant lol but that's true, I've tried a few different programs but it either gets converted to DVD quality or they won't even play on my PC...

I use the Media Center feature on the 360 to stream my vids. I have close to 850gb of movies and TV shows so for me burning is out of the question at this point.

I have a 320GB external I use. But it won't play, keeps saying unsupported format for some reason. I'm planning on taking this round a friends house though so lugging my 360 around isn't ideal for me.

I used an external, after my old laptop died I just ripped it out. But I'm wanting to burn to take to a friends.

You might need the Optional Media Update. If your friends 360 is online it should download from Xbox Live. If you're not online or it would download the Update just Google it download it and throw it on a usb Load it up and it's movie time.

I already have it, they don't have a 360 either. If using an Xbox was an option I would lol, it's pretty much just a convert to DVD or I can't use it at my friends because her computer sucks and hardly plays YouTube videos... Also just to add, her brother has a HD player thing the program I used before was like a dos program and ran in cmd but I can't remember what it was called. The converts it done would play fine on the player though.

Here I'm assuming a 360 would be involved lol. Sorry about that.

OK, Have you tried Nero for converting and burning, or even Win AVI video converter. Both of these with allow you to convert higher quality digital video formats into VOB DVD files. With either one you would need to adjust the settings from their default settings.
