Cliff Bleszinski, who is credited as the creator of the "Gears of War" series, said that gamers will surely enjoy the franchise's upcoming installment. This is according to his friend who is currently working on the game as a writer. Since the launch of the series in 2006, the Microsoft-owned franchise has been handled mostly by Epic Games. But, on 2014, the development of future titles for the series was officially handed over to The Coalition, the same company that also released "Gears of War: Ultimate Edition" in August of 2015. Although the company had already worked on the series, the 2015 title can only be considered as generally a remastered compilation of the first games. This means that "Gears of War 4" will be the first full game that The Coalition will work on. Being a newcomer in the world of the series, a lot of fans are a bit skeptical as to how the sequel will come out. But, according to Daily Star, Bleszinzki was able to talk with one of the writers of the upcoming game. Based on their conversation, the series creator said gamers have nothing to worry about in terms of the game's plot. "Just got off the phone with a friend who is doing some writing on the next 'Gears' game," he tweeted. "Sounds like we will all be very pleased." Blesinzki, however, did not go into detail regarding the features of the game. But, as noted by the Ecumenical News, the game is expected to deliver a different form of campaign gameplay. According to the site, Rod Fergusson, the head of The Coalition, said that one of the main objectives of the studio is to deliver a darker and more mysterious "Gears of War" game. In addition, the studio chief mentioned that instead of having a four-player campaign, finishing "Gears of War 4" will only require two players. The executive explained that this is the studio's way of making the game feel more personal. It is not yet confirmed when the next installment in the popular third-person shooter franchise will exactly come out, but the game is expected to arrive during the fourth quarter of 2016 for the Xbox One. Its closed beta, on the other hand, is scheduled to kick off in spring of this year.
