Microsoft has again discussed the possibility of making Xbox One backwards compatible with original Xbox games, saying “nothing’s impossible”.Speaking to The Inner Circle podcast, Xbox engineering boss Mike Ybarra said that while Microsoft isn’t looking at the functionality now, he wouldn’t rule it out in the future.Rather than add Xbox One backwards compatibility with games from the company’s console debut, Microsoft is instead focused on bringing as many titles as possible to Xbox One’s Xbox 360 backwards compatibility."We're not looking at original Xbox games on Xbox One yet," said Yabarra. "Right now the focus is making more Xbox 360 games work. [It would be] certainly very challenging. Getting Xbox 360 games to work was incredibly challenging and really a multi-year engineering investment.“Going all the way back to the original certainly would challenge the team.
