Anyone concerned about whether or not Star Wars: Battlefront will utilise dedicated servers can rest easy, as DICE has confirmed that the game will indeed have dedicated servers. The confusion over dedicated servers came when Community Manager Matthew Everett mentioned the absence of server browsers in favour of skill-based matchmaking. However, Star Wars: Battlefront's Senior Producer Jamie Keen confirmed that dedicated servers will be present and correct. “We’ll still have dedicated servers”, Keen assured in an interview with PlayStation Lifestyle. “Absolutely. It’s one of the hallmarks of making sure we deliver an unparalleled online service for the game.”We'll all be able to get a glimpse at how matchmaking will work in Star Wars: Battlefront when the open beta goes live in early October, ahead of the game's launch on 17th November in North America and 20th November in Europe for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
It hopefully for fills my needs as a Star Wars fan. I'm hoping it all goes well and is really enjoyable game! Thanks for the update man
