Can't update GTA V

Try downloading the update in an unextracted version that can be saved to a retail HDD. Download it on your PC and use Horizon or 360Rev or any other USB tool to move it to your 360. If done correctly you can go to System Settings > Storage > Games and Apps > GTA 5 > Title update should be there.
This method is just like downloading the update from LIVE.
I believe Xbox360 title update files are just a large sequence of numbers with no .extension if that helps!

Thanks For replying late night I have always downloaded an unextracted version and i have no problem in moving the update to 360. I also tried by using horizon and also directly putting it in my hdd by xexmenu i think moving is not my problem the real problem is i can't run gta v with the latest update installed.....

I will be very glad if you can post a link for a working latest title update and again thanks for replying......


I also tried putting a trainer which was updated to latest title update(1.28).It Was in the same form as the TU file but still the same problem...although the trainer is working fine.

It Worked but which title update is there are no new features i still have that old cars in the ingame websites no new cars as written in update notes
It is just change of extension to .part or it is something else that made it work....
The Problem is still on.....

 

TU i linked you to is tu26 i think and was the latest one i could find. If you still missing stuff then i guess you may need to connect to Xbox Live to fully update your shizz.

I downloaded a console trainer for gta V which was in a TU form but the same problem occurred but i just started the game from beginning without saving to check if the trainer is working and it was working fine then after downloading the file that you send I edited the extension of the trainer by just putting .part(same as the file)in it I checked it on my X360 the trainer was showing on the storage device as TU then i started gta v and no error came up I got very excited.
After the game loaded I pressed the trigger buttons to activate the trainer but the trainer didnt load I tried it many times but no luck
If you can solve This then please help.....

 

Well, from my experiences the best way for you to install Dlc, TU and so forth is by downloading it, putting it in their respective folders and then Unlocking It With XM360. To unlock it enter XM360, click show Title Update, back up the TU and then restore the TU. Then select the TU with FSD by selecting the game, pressing Y for options and going into Manage Title Updates. As for the trainer, I don't usually use trainers that come in TU form, but for some trainers on some games you have to press the trigger button 3 times

I tried it it and it worked not perfectly because the in game websites didnt update but still it does the trick....
