On Dash 17150, Xbox keeps asking me to update

    i just updated my jtag to 16767 and tried to go online but its asking me for an update after down loading i will get update failed with a status code 416b - 42fe - 1381 - 0300 - c800 - 0036. i tried to download the systemupdate to usd drive but it will not pop up on my consol as well. so what i have to do to get back to xbox live????

    thanks in advance for any conclusions how to fix this

    do you by chance have a flashed drive in your jtag? seems it wont allow the update due to a spoofed drive. If you were using a non jtag your only option would be to replace the drive with one identical to your original however being on a Jtag there are a few methods you can try:

    1. Try using the XPG Easy Updater, this will flash avatar data directly to your console without the need for updating through the Dashboard.

    If this does not work you can always try the manual method:
    2. Find someone that has already updated to this dash and get them to dump their Sysex partition, now simply transfer the data to your sysex partition and reboot.

    i did put the systemupdate in flash drive connected it to the xbox but no popups came on........ frustrated could scream

    Correct me if I'm wrong, I thought j-tag was for version 7371 or below? Perhaps he's using a RGH or am I not updated enough to know haha...

    The "Jtag Hack" can only be applied to kernels prior to 7371 but can be updated to current dashboards. This is my preferred console but they are hard to find these days, the only problem with Jtags is if they are updated using a normal systemupdate it will remove the Jtag hack and will not be able to be hacked this way again, it would have to be RGH'd at this point.

    Basically a Jtag will load straight up exactly like a retail whereas a RGH will have to wait to glitch before it can boot.

    oh man i been such an idiot all the time over a year i thought i had a jtag but i just realize that i have rgh hahahahahaha
    im so madly sorry for that mistake and thanks for all you guys to trying to help out
    but still what i have to do or still following you guy instruction?

    Make sure you are on the same subnet as your PC.

    A couple of options that may fix your problem, Try running updsvr standalone v1 from FSD or aurora etc, this may help being after all plugins etc are loaded,or try using the updserv built into dashlaunch or updsvr standalone v3.
