my xbox is jtag freestyle 3, with external outside contain games (i dont know how the games got inside, because i got it from my friend). now the problem is my xbox could detect the hdd but could not reach any games in it. (i dont think the usb port is the problem)

(that is my external hdd that should contain some games in it)

at this menu, there should be another folder name "USB:" under the "OnBoardMU"(the green one). but there is not.

in before, i had use the external hdd recovery to recover any error in my hdd. <---(i think it's a bad idea)

so....anybody know what is the problem?

please help me because i just finish my exam.

If you ran a Hdd recovery theres a 99% chance the drive was formatted back to NTFS, the RGH can only read fat32 partitions, plug the drive into your PC, if it shows as NTFS you will have to reformat with a program called fat32formatter, you will lose all your data from the drive but it sounds like it already has been wiped

Windows can and will read NTFS as that is what your windows hdd runs on, it will also read fat32 which was the main format in windows 95 days, the format windows can not read is FatX which is the xbox internal hdd format ;)
