Recently, I got myself Fallout GOTY edition and guess what: can't install any DLC because of the HDD issue. After googling all day, there's really no way around it (since my console is not JTAG/RGH) unless I buy a external hdd or install the DLC on someone else's Xbox and transfer the content to my USB storage.

My Xbox is the arcade version, bit fat white one. I've look everywhere and apparently, everyone selling hdd for my version are those also big gray/white ones with 0% of certainty to work - I have no idea if the console will recognize it or not as a harddrive.
So what do I do? Get one of those or purchase the case and a slim external harddrive? Returning the game is out of reach and I cannot purchase anything from Amazon/eBay since I'm not in the US. Oh and no way of getting a new xbox, I don't have the money.

And to install the DLC on another console blah blah transfer it to my USB, will it work if I use a Xbox slim, and use its built in drive to do it? I see conflicted opinions about this, it's either "yeah it will totally work" or "don't even try it mate".

Brazil, São Paulo. It sucks because I simulated a shopping on Amazon and I'd have to pay 100% because of taxes. How much?

You can use any 2.5 sata drive under 320gb on a phat console im sure of it.
just needs formatting to your 360 console to work.

I have mine out the case all the time as you can see from the pic and its from a laptop.

Well the problem is not WHERE to get, but WHAT.

The shipping from US to my country is pretty expensive and a $10 cheap hdd comes off three more times in my currency PLUS I'd have no way to return it. So again, as I said earlier on my first post, no way of acquiring a hdd from the US. Or anywhere outside my country.
