So I've been having this weird problem, my Xbox keeps changing IP for some reason, it's really annoying because my NAT is open but when it changes it either goes to Strict or Moderate, anyone know how to fix this ? and it's happening on my RGH, i don't know if that matters but i'm just saying :D

Not sure about why it does it but what always seemed to open my NAT (The same as using ipconfig /release /renew on PC) is doing this:
    1. Go to test your connection
    2. Go to configure network
    3. Change all the settings to manual but DO NOT CHANGE them
    4. Test your connection, it should instantly fail
    5. Change settings back to automatic, then test connection again
    6. You should have an open NAT

The same method applies if you want to keep 1 IP, just set a manual configuration so it never changes unless wanted.

Erm, most of the time it actually has to do with your modem or your DHCP service hooked up by your ISP. Mine changes periodically as-well.

Why don't you assign an IP in your router from your ISP ?

I still have DHCP on my router but the only difference I've set my IP with the associated MAC address so, instead of my RGH getting:

192.168.0.10 I set it so it gets it at 192.168.0.18 and so on.

The advantage of this is that you'll have a STATIC IP, with DHCP on and NAT should be open!
