    Hi guys

    Having a nightmare right now, hope somebody can help!

    Had my Live profile offline for almost a year while using my rgh.
    Got my hands on a new 360 today so decided to pop my profile on a usb and log into Live to have a look around etc on the new xbox.

    Problem is when I log into Live it asks for my email and password to update its security and so on,
    but after Ive entered my details I get this error:

    Sorry, this profile can't connect to Xbox LIVE on this console. To fix it, download it again
    Code: 80151006

    Anyone no how to fix this?

    Are you downloading the profile manually and then it is asking for email and pass or is that you downloading it right there?

    log into the profile on xbox website and it should ask you for a verification security step, after that is completed and you are logged into your profile try and then re download it again on your xbox console and everything should be good.

    No, i am transferring it right from my rgh to the new xbox.
    If I download my profile from Xbox Live ill loose 20K Gamerscore

    Problem is if I re download the profile ill loose 20K gamerscore, Im able to log into the xbox.com no problem,
    its the gamerscore I dont want to loose.

    Error code 80151006 means that your Microsoft account is valid but not associated with a Xbox LIVE account (gamer profile). Often due to a name change of the gamertag. I would recommend getting in touch with Xbox phone support. They should be able to find a resolution

    I'm very sorry, but you'll have to download it again, it's because of Microsoft's security thing, this happens when you choose the option on Xbox.com to prompt download on all consoles, then this'll happen, but also staying offline with a profile for too long, may cause M$ to prompt this to you sometimes...

    After many calls to Xbox apparently because my live profile has been inactive for almost a year its has become outdated and is no longer valid????

    My only option is to re-download my profile that was synced with the live servers a year ago!!

    This is ridiculous and pure stupid.
    Has anyone ever heard of this happening?
