To coincide with this week's launch of the The Last of Us Remastered on PS4, Naughty Dog brought the game to life for a theatre audience in Santa Monica on Monday night.

The Last of Us: One Night Live included a performance of the game's score and a live read of key scenes featuring the game's main actors, directed by Naughty Dog creative director and writer Neil Druckmann.

It also included the performance of an unused The Last of Us epilogue scene, in which Joel and Ellie share some more time together. While The Last of Us: One Night Live can be viewed below, the scene in question wasn't recorded for wider public viewing.

According to NeoGAF users, the scene was set four years after the end of the game at Tommy's dam. It shows Ellie in her room listening to music when Joel enters to talk to her. At first she's distant, but Joel makes a quip about a woman he's now dating and Ellie laughs. Joel then pulls out a guitar, plays a song for Ellie and promises to teach her how to play. Joel then leaves the room and the scene ends with Ellie strumming a note on the guitar.

The The Last of Us Remastered release date is today, July 29 in North America and this Friday, August 1 in the UK. CVG's The Last of Us Remastered review said "one of last year's highlights is now one of 2014's best games."
