You may not have heard that Microsoft have announced more new features for the Xbox One in a continued effort to beat the PS4.
The latest announcement is a movie pirates absolute dream. The Xbox One will be getting an full-scale video player capable of playing any file type you can think of including .avi, .jpg, .gif, .mov, .mp3, .mpeg, .wma, and ,MKV.
Interestingly .MKV file containers is a favorite among Pirates for BAN ME PLEASE and TV shows.

Not only will the Xbox One be getting the full scale video player, but also DNLA streaming support which will allow users to stream content via devices such as tablets and PCs on a home network.

So what you will have in affect is a super media center that will allow users to watch BAN ME PLEASE. We do not believe for a minute that this was an intentional move by Microsoft to make the Xbox One appeal to a broader spectrum of users, this is just something that Pirates will certainly utilize.

So what do you think about the latest announcement, is this something you have been waiting for? Let us know in the comments below.

I am very happy they are finally adding usb and DLNA mulit format support.
Should make it easier to watch movies then using PLAY TO function on PC to Xbox 1. MKV support is great for HD rips

OR you could just hook your computer/laptop to the HDMI input on your TV to use like a big monitor. Still don't see a reason to swap out my PS4 for an Xbone

What if your computer is in a different room? And you don't have a laptop.
