This time next year the Xbox One will be subsidised by Cable companies says analyst Michael Pachter. Microsoft's decision to to make the Xbox One an all round entertainment system has sparked the rumor wheels into motion. The fact that the Next Gen console has integrated TV and is now a multi entertainment system makes industry analyst Michael Pachter think that by next Christmas cable companies will shows their cards. The belief is that Microsoft is using companies such as Gamestop and Bestbuy to sell the Xbox One consoles to gamers and get the Xbox One into homes around the world allowing cable companies to make their move.
