Kaspersky Lab has released some interesting statistics about Xbox One and PS4. According to the Anti Virus company the Next-Gen consoles get attacked around 34,000 times per day by hackers with 4.6 million known malware to accompany these hack attempts.
The cyber security company has identified 4.6 million pieces of gaming focused malware, together accounting for over 11.7 million attacks globally. On average, users were hit by 34,000 attacks related to gaming malware daily. Kaspersky Lab experts are recommending users take the right precautions.
One piece of advice offered by Kaspersky is to not download tools that are not from a trusted source. If you are unsure on our forums please ask the topic author to supply a virus scan and ask others on the forum if they have tried software and if its safe. We also have XPG Developers that have a badge , that we know are trusted.
Also remember that is an offer seems to good to be true, it probably is!

Its more to do with gaming related malware in general, as thats what the article is about more over , ergo it seemed only natural people would panic about all or any tools related to gaming or game modding / hacking.

It's more of a clarification really, especially since tools are emerging for next gen consoles.
