The Xbox One hit the streets a little over a week ago and already advancements have been made into modding the Xbox One.
We are all well aware of the Nand being dumped by the guys over at Konsolen – Junkies revealing that the size of the NAND on Xbox One is 4.9GB in size, also that the NAND can be dumped using Corona V2 using SD Card reader just as with the Xbox 360. So we already have the method to dumping the nand which is a step in the right direction to modding the Xbox One. As well as the nand being dumped , so were the Xbox One games. C4eva dumped Call Of duty Ghosts revealing that the disc is made up of one metadata folder with some pics (Permanent Information and Control data zone) and one package1.xvc file of 41,285,020 KB length. We also know ( thanks to Team Xecutor ) that the Xbox One has a Lite-On drive, this time around of course it is BD-ROM and model number DG-6M1S and currently at firmware v3253 on h/w 070D and made in Oct. 2013.
We also know that main IC is no longer a mediatek silicon, but a Microsoft stamped die with its own part number, along with a TI driver chip for laser with nice big cable.
Of course none of this is of any use to end users right now , but its is a step in the right direction.
Other mods that end users will be able to make use of are Xbox One controller mods with custom led mods and custom thumbsticks, also case mods. The guys over at house of Grafix are selling a range of wraps for Xbox One consoles that will personalise the appearance of your console, i personally like the NES case mod which you can see here.
