    Despite Microsoft's enthusiasm for its next-generation console, one important piece was missing from its Xbox One announcement last month: the console's price.

    Luckily, the company's E3 press event presented the firm with the perfect time to remedy the mistake: the Xbox One will sell for $499 in the US, 499 Euros in Europe, and 429 pounds in the UK when it launches this November.

    The console will be rolling out to 21 countries in all, so let the countdown to launch day begin!

    never thought I'd say this but I'm 80% sure I'm going to get the PS4 instead, cannot belive I'm saying that, its not so much the price even though they are taking the p1ss with that one, they main selling point is the all in one the live tv but it doesn't even work in the uk yet and you have to have a seperate tv box with hdmi out for it to work and having to log in on the internet every 24 hours else the console locks you out and its then just a middle man tv/dvd player.

    120,000Gamerscore and a 6 year old wicked profile with about a £1000 of msp spent on it and all going to go down the drain, I may sell it and just keep my RGH and get the PS4
