There's a lot more to the Xbox One than meets the eye and chances are you still haven't found all the commands out. Its not all about the voice either. Although Xbox One has a fully comprehensive list of voice commands, there are still many things that can be done with a gesture of the hands such as scrolling across the dashboard, or selecting an app. So if you have all your friends around and the voice commands aren't working as they should do, try out a few of these hand gestures:

Having tried these out , it feels a lot smoother and responsive than the older Kinect on the Xbox 360.

    Here's the 6 navigation gestures:

    Return to Home

    1. Hold out both of your hands towards the edge of the screen.
    2. Close your hands and move them toward each other in front of your chest.

    1. Engage Kinect by raising your hand with an open palm facing the sensor.
    2. Move your hand over a specific item or tile.
    3. Push forward (away from your body) and then pull back to make the selection.

    2. When the hand icon appears on the screen, close your hand anywhere over the area you want to scroll.
    3. Move your hand to the left or right to pull the screen in that direction. Some apps support vertical scrolling as well. Simply move your hand up or down to pull the screen in that direction.
