Microsoft is targeting a holiday release date for Xbox 720, or whatever it decides to call its next generation games console. That's according to multiple Bloomberg sources reportedly "familiar with the company's plans", who said Microsoft is planning to capitalise on Thanksgiving and Christmas sales. One source claimed that the platform holder has yet decide whether to unveil the new Xbox at an industry-wide event such as E3 in June, or at a separate showcase devoted solely to the new hardware. In September it was reported that Microsoft was facing manufacturing problems that could result in a delay to its 'planned' Xbox 720 launch in September 2013. Xbox World used its penultimate issue to publish an eight-page feature containing 'everything the mag knows' about Microsoft's next-gen console plans. It claimed that the next gen Xbox - which it speculated is likely to simply be called "Xbox" - will introduce Kinect 2.0, use Blu-ray discs, and feature directional audio, a TV output AND input, an 'innovative controller' and - at a later stage of the console's life - AR glasses. Current codename 'Durango' dev kits boast a CPU with "four hardware cores, each divided into four logical cores" and an impressive 8GB of RAM, XBW reported. Source - CVG
umm actually Ghostware if you looked at some of the photos from another article on here. The photo shown above is what its supposed to look like doubt it but from what they show there is actually a location on the side where you can remove the HDD. But honestly its just a shot in the dark and who knows if this is actually what its supposed to look like.
No chance of this becoming a reality. Xbox will want to promote the new console for a minimum of 1 year previous to the release, to increase sales. They will also not release a new console in a world where the economy is abysmal and non-existent. America is most definately not in a state in which Microsoft can seriously see the general public going out and pulling between $400 - $600 out of their pockets (which probably 80% of Americans atm don't have, never mind a job) to warrant purchasing a games console. Unless Global economy makes a sharp U-turn and 360s and Microsoft starts its advertising campaign right NOW.
this just won't be happening yet. not with gta v out next year and other releases. they'd be dreaming , and if it's blueray its going to be another mind boggle from having every1 go from 360 to 720, and with the old classics specially blackops 2 you'd be lucky if it sees a release in 2015, plus the slim has only been out since 2010. its just not worth it as of yet i dont think.
