What does region free actually mean

    Hey everyone.
    Up until now, I've only dealt with game saves and game save editing. I'm now dipping into the depths of ISO's and will soon have an xk3y. I understand that it is not safe to play out of region games, but what about Region Free games? What does region free mean?

    Does it mean the region code was removed?
    Or was it region free to begin with?
    If it was removed, does that make it safe?
    Is there a post somewhere on XPG that explains "All about region codes"? Please help me as I don't want to get banned the first day I pop online with my xk3y

    Region Free means the game will play perfectly fine on any console in any Region/Country

    Pal - Works in Europe consoles

    NTSC/U - Works in USA consoles

    NTSC/J - Works in Japan consoles

    Region Free - Works on every console

    One more question, If I find an ISO and it doesn't have the region listed or region free listed, how do I find out?

    open up abgx360 and it will tell you. Otherwise Look in the NFO in there is normally one.
