I've purchased a second hand RROD xbox 360 (Original White 16GB model) - fixed the RROD issue and have discovered (thankfully before I connect) that it was actually modified long ago. Is it safe to connect to Xbox Live to update to the new dashboard? (I think it's got the original one) Can it be updated at all? (USB update?) Would appreciate any help anyone can give. Thank you
I'm assuming its modified as in having a flashed drive right? Otherwise you would have noticed it was modified when you went to fix the RROD?
I've no idea what version of flashing it is... the console manufacturer date is 2007 and from what I'm told it was purchased as a 'already modified' console. To be honest I didn't really want it for backup games... it's to play originals in another room from my main newer xbox. I'd like to update the dashboards if possible... Also with it being modified can I use the marketplace for demo's or buying games? Thanks everyone :gamer4:
If you haven't updated this Xbox 360, you may want to consider selling it as a jtaggable Xbox 360 and picking up another Xbox 360 to use for your purposes. If you don't care about that then flash your drive back to stock and take the updates.
