How to Install a Title Update using only a USB Drive

    What You Need:
    • An Xbox 360 formatted USB Drive (do this on the Xbox before you start
    • 360 Revolution downloaded on your computer
    • The title update you are looking to install
    Section 1
First, we will plug in our USB drive to our computer, and open 360 Revolution.
Then we will open the USB Explorer Tool:

From here, we will select our USB Drive.
The file path for a Title Update is:
    Root://Content/0000000000000000/<TITLEID>/000B0000/<TU File>

So we will create new folders(pics to come soon) so that within the Content Folder, you have the 0000000000000000 folder.

Then within that you have the TITLEID of the game you wish to update(which can be found on XBUC or on ABGX) ex. 464F07FE

Then create the 000B0000 folder and inject your TU there.

The following steps should be done if your Xbox has a hard drive:

Once you boot up your Xbox 360, go into Memory Management of the console.

    Select your USB drive.

Select the game you wish to update.

Within the GAME folder, select the Title Update and select "Move" to move it onto your hard drive.

When I open my USB, there is no folder called Content. There is only Data and Cache. I also can't create a folder at the root level. Should It go in one of those folders? Is there some way I'm not seeing to create my own folder at root?

EDIT: Adding the Content folder into Data solved the problem. So using 360Revolution or XTAF, the order really goes "\\Data\Content\0000000\<Title ID>\000b00\<Update file>". Note, that's not the accurate amount of zeroes. Don't copy-paste that.

EDIT 2: Although, now I don't know how to actually run the update once it's on my 360's HDD in the right folder. It loaded instantly the first time, there's no way it installed a ~15MB update that fast.

How do you create the directories or folders? I cant figure that part out.

By the way, the proper path is:

    Root:\\Data\Content\0000000000000000\<TITLEID>\000B0000\<TU File>

"So we will create new folders (pics to come soon) so that within the Content Folder, you have the 0000000000000000 folder."

Any time now, it's been almost a full year.

Since no ones going to put the promised pictures up, how do you create a folder in USB explorer? I don't have any TUs on my system already, so it's not a simple matter of copying an update for the game I'm updating: Far Cry 3, onto my flash drive (on the 360) and putting my new one in the same folder (on my laptop using the USB explorer tool). I already tried two save files (one for GRAW 2 and one for FC3), and both came up under a folder titled "E0000078FAF32AB8."

The path for the save file was this: Root:\\Data\Content\E0000078FAF32AB8\5553088C l Far Cry 3\00000001 l Saved Game

I as well would like to know how to create a folder on the flash drive. I've been at it for 2 hours and can't find a way. Several people have asked this question and no one will reply. Can someone please take a minute to explain this to the revolution360 challenged.

had the same problem. no option to create new folders.
used XTAF (google it), was super easy to create the needed folders and inject the file.

I have tried this tutorial on an old xbox 360 with no xbox live. tried inject the update where said and my xbox said there is an update available for this game, I updated... still no change and wont let me use saves still, I have tried everything can think of and have asked a few people on forums and asked me to ask here... I know its a problem with installing the update onto my xbox... but this tut seems the only one to make any sence as to where to put the TU but its still not recognising it... any suggestions?

I have tried injecting my TUs onto the USB and it doesn't work. Has ANYONE been able to install title updates on an unmodded console?
