I don't know if this will help anyone, but - I have had major issues installing games that require manual install of "content" folder data. My desktop is running OSX, and I use FIlezilla to FTP to the xbox. If the game is a direct install, there are never problems. However, for 3 games, specifically, COD Advanced Warfare, Alien Isolation, and Battlefield: Hardline, I could not get them to work. I even tried to use Horizon to inject the content. I finally hooked up my Windows laptop, and extracted the .iso's from my server onto the laptop, and did the work from there, (using 360mpGUI and FIlezilla) and this tutorial worked a treat for all games. And, I can confirm that Disc 1 is not needed.
Hello guys, sorry for my poor English. I'm from Brazil. my Xbox 360 kernel is 17150 (latest) with FSD 775 and 500 GB internal HDD. I have an issue with Alien Isolation. I installed normally the game and started playing, but when I get on the screen that i meeting Taylor wounded and the other guy, and I need to seek help to save her, when I get on the elevator opened by the doctor, and click the button, on the transition screen, my XBOX restarts on its own and I can not move forward. Can anyone tell me what problem is this? And how to fix it? Thanks
I had this issue. Had to completely delete disc 2 from my xbox hard drive, re-extract the disc 2 iso, then copy the files over again. Did not touch the files I had already copied to the content folder from disc 1. Worked for me.
I'm fairly new to all this but what worked for me, is format/configure your external storage device with my 360, and ran the first disc normally and had it installed to my hdd, then just move that content, with the normal 360 storage manager, onto your external storage and then simply extract the second disc into a games file on the external (not inside content) works fine and everything loads up, in aurora dashboard it shows all the disc 1 content as dlcs so I'm assuming I did it right
