[TUT] How to Iso Mod Silent Hill Homecoming Including Files

This tutorial shows you how to mod the game to get zero aggression from enemies and no reloads for guns. This tutorial also now includes the modded files to download below if you want them.

Open your Iso using WX360 or Xbox Backup Creator.
Extract the Global.Pak File.
Open using HxD and go to the search tab and copy and paste this into it.

<Activity Type="CoverNow">

This is the code we need so copy it into a blank hex file including the 3 ... after the code.

Now copy and paste this into the find bar

<Activity Type="Brawl" />

The first entry you will find isn't an enemy type and the next one which will be an boss so keep searching till you find lurker, nurse, feral etc.

Replace the
<Activity Type="Brawl" />..

with


<Activity Type="CoverNow">...

You must preserve the 3 full stops at the end. The first two full stops are actually OD OA bits followed by an O9 bit. You will be able to fit the new code into all the enemies except the meatsack enemy who isn't a proper enemy but a piece of one of the bosses.

After testing the Iso I have found that the bosses have stages to their battles and can't be beaten unless they are able to attack so only mod the normal enemies

The above modifications will prevent the enemy from attacking you but they will still pop up and chase you around.

To get infinite ammo go to the search tab again and search for AmmoPerShot="1" and simply change it to a zero for each firearm in the game. There are six guns to modifyistol/Upgraded pistol, Shotgun/Upgraded Shotgun and Rifle/UpgradedRifle.
There is no need to touch the laser pistol.

Use WX360 to inject it back into the ISO followed by a clean default.xex and you may need to clear your system cache to install the game onto your console.
