Naughty Dog has detailed launch plans for three The Last of Us Us DLC packs. Set for release on October 16, the Abandoned Territories map pack will offer four new battlegrounds. Suburbs will feature a dynamic dust storm, while Bus Depot is a layered map of an overgrown urban environment. Hometown's moonlit environment will provide plenty of opportunities for stealth, while Bookstore features a stacked, bi-level layout for vertical gameplay. Naughty Dog says the studio's first ever story driven single player DLC will feature an "ambitious story with strong ties into the narrative" of the main game. Currently scheduled for release "around the December-January timeframe", it will star a new character. A third, multiplayer focused DLC pack will launch in the first half of 2014. All three packs can be bought for a 30 per cent discount as part of a €19.99 / $19.99 season pass. Naughty Dog said today it intends to add 60 different head items for multiplayer characters to the season pass offering.
